George W. Bush: Stuck On Stupid
For some background and some examples of "stuck on stupid" click here and here. I've liked that Cajun General from the day he hit the ground in New Orleans, but I had no idea he had such a way with words. When Condi's elected President he'll make a hell of a Secretary of State. For an absolutely mind-boggling example of Stuck On Stupid check out this news:
Her primary qualifications? Read on:
Hat tip: Michelle Malkin, who has some choice comments and links to other blog reaction here. See also Captain's Quarters. Damn it, George! Full disclosure: I voted for Bush and I'd do it again under the same circumstances -- Hell, I'd vote for a rabid orangutan on speed before I'd vote for John Kerry -- but that doesn't mean I approve of the way he's handled a lot of things since he's been in office. Update: Thank you Update 2 (9-21-05): Michelle Malkin has more here. Debbie Schlussel has much more here. Aslo. don't miss Brian Preston's comments here. Update 3: The Commissar is not impressed either, and has a list of other Conservative blogger reactions here.

Comments If Bush is not massively stupid, why does he keep ignoring immigration matters? Try this on for size: DHS was created not to do homeland security but to create cover for the secret and probably illegal work necessary to find and kill terrorists. You can't hide that kind of operation in a single office, but a huge umbrella department like the Pentagon or DHS can manage. And it's an old trick: you create a covert agency and bury it in a new agency 100 times its size. That way even most goverment workers don't know what their agency is REALLY supposed to do. Perhaps we haven't had any attacks since 2001 because the covert portion of DHS has been stopping them By Any Means Necessary. And perhaps Bush appoints amiable, harmless, utterly loyal dopes to INS/DHS because he needs them not to find out what's happening, or keep mum if they do. Or maybe Bush doesn't think border security matters a damn. Which is more likely? Which is more likely?Posted by: Steve Johnson | Sep 21, 2005 4:46:00 PM Its really sad to see that allot of “The Base” or if you prefer Al Qaeda of the republican party are starting to see what all of us independents have seen since day one when this all started. G.WMD Bush is a complete and udder failure. He is in the office because of Daddy, and Rove. Old Carl is fixing to be jailed, the republican majority in congress is on its way out. You thought John Kerry was bad wait until Hillary is elected because, anyone but “Al Qaeda” will do. I think its fair to say that STUPID has really set our country back about 30 years. Now more than ever “Big Government”, “Big Deficits”, “Big Overseas disapproval”, (after all it’s a global market now). And finally getting the biggest religious base on the planet to all think like terrorist. Its really quite the shit pile. To actually sit and think about is horrific. Now, with twin brothers in the Core I really have a strong resentment to the whole blood for oil notion. And the big lie that got us all involved in the oldest battle known to man (Babylon) way to go STUPID.. That battle has historically never stopped or never been won. This is just another chapter. Im sorry to say but G.WMD Bush will go down in history as a complete failure and we Americans will be paying for it until the biggest religious base on the planet finally does us in. Here is s little read I got off the net. This one really is scary.. George W. Bush is a born again, evangelical Christian. He believes that Judgment Day is nigh and, as a saved Christian, has an obligation to leave the Earth in a state of ruin for the Anti-Christ and those left behind. Apart from Las Vegas, is there a city in the United States closer to Sodom & Gomorrah, in the view of an evangelical, that would deserve destruction of Biblical proportion than New Orleans? It scares me to write it, but I don't think so. What if this is true and his view is global. Between STUPID and the brainwashed religious addicts is there hope?Posted by: Scott | Oct 24, 2005 9:36:02 PM The comments to this entry are closed. |
