Just a little favor?

The progeny of this marriage, little Anna Emily, turns 10 years old on November 5th. It's a biggie for her, as she believes and will argue to a fine point that this means she is no longer a kid, but a "pre-teen" and darned near an adult. (I've got news for her, but that's another story!)

Anna, Delftsman, and Mamamontezz
(The file name on the picture is "communion-family.jpg" -- BF)

So I'd like to make a modest request of our readers. It won't cost you much more than a little time and a stamp. We would like you to pick up an inexpensive birthday card or write her a little birthday note, address it to her, and mail it. It can be anything, just something with an out of state [or in state - I'm sure Purdue would be fine, Alli. How many friends can you get involved? -- BF] address and a "Happy Birthday" on it. She's not going to be getting a lot this year, so we are hoping a plethora of mail will off-set any disappointment. Kids get pretty excited about birthdays, and I hate to see her disappointed.

If you'd like to make her birthday special, please let us know in [Mamamontezz's] comments here that you are willing to mail her a birthday card. We'll email you back with our snailmail address.

Thank you in advance for your kindness. You have all been very kind and supportive to us during these last few difficult months, and I hate to ask for this, but it's something small that would mean a lot to a little girl. None of this has been her fault.

Click here to go to Mamamontezz's post and get the mailing address. Better yet, ask me in my comments section and I'll pass it on to you. Maybe we can surprise Mama and Delftsman and Anna with the number of cards that show up. Let's violate another blogging rule and not leave a bunch of trackbacks on her post.  Ssshhh! Be vewy, vewy quiet! Even if word gets back about this post, maybe we can keep the numbers a surprise.

Fellow bloggers: Can you help me spread the word on this? I think this is one case where plagiarism will be forgiven. I've copied Mamamontezz's entire post. Feel free to link to the image in my post if you have bandwidth concerns. (<img src="">) Let's make a little girl happy.

MilBloggers: She's one of us. Do your thing.

If you feel like you can: There's a PayPal button down near the bottom of Mamamontezz's sidebar.

Mamamontezz does not know I'm doing this. Let's try to keep it that way. Delftsman, Robbie, Jack, don't miss a good opportunity to keep a secret.

Note: I hate to have to do it but I'm turning on comment and trackback moderation. If you post a legitimate trackback or comment I'll do my best not to be too slow about approving it. If the only reason you're here is to advertise your porn, music, or penis enhancement site you can kiss my sweet ass.

Please email me the address. I'd love to send her something.
