We're all out of Shiranians to sell
(Click here to see all of my Shiranian posts in one place.) We started off with 6 puppies, gave one to my sister's best friend's little girl, then sold three more yesterday and today, all within one extended family. That leaves us with two that aren't going anywhere. I'll probably post occasional pictures of them as the get older, then eventually start posting about a new batch (I'm not sure how long that takes.) |

Running behind again, down to 5 puppies
I guess I could have just stayed off to myself in my "blogging corner" but I took some time off when my sister's best friend and her little girl came over to pick out a puppy. We had two that we'd decided weren't going anywhere except their place, the little girl picked out one of them, then my spoiled brat nephew put up a fuss about parting with that one and she ended up picking one that we could have sold to someone else (You don't charge "family" for puppies.) Net result is we still have one my nephew won't part with, one my sister and I hoped they'd choose but won't let anyone else have, and 3 for sale. I'm less than thrilled with the situation but life goes on. |

Shiranian Puppies For Sale, I Guess (Bumped)
(Click here to see all of my Shiranian posts in one place.) As strange as it will seem not having them around, it's time to find new homes for some of the pups. My sister hasn't decided how much to ask for them yet but if anyone wants to make an offer I'll be more than happy to pass it on to her, or I'd be glad to put you on a list of people to be notified when she sets a price. Their mama's a registered Shih Tzu and their paternal grandparents are both registered Pomeranians. They're all loving, affectionate little attention-gluttons and if they take after their parents they'll stay that way. If there's one it particular you'd like to know more about please leave a comment or email me and I'll put some more pictures where you can get to them. Since my sister works and all I do is sleep and blog I guess I'm your Point of Contact for information, price negotiations, or whatever. This is the same pup as above:
Again, these next two are the same pup. I took two pictures just to be safe and the both turned out too good not to share. It's a good thing I took two pictures each of the rest, since only one turned out.
I'll try to replace this picture with a better one in the next day or two. (Right now all my help's asleep.) Something about the way his facial hair was arranged made the picture turn out sort of strange. Actually, other than being the biggest, furriest one of the bunch he's perfectly normal: Unless I have my puppies confused this young lady isn't for sale, but she's too pretty not to show you another picture of, anyway. This little guy finally outgrew my shirt pocket but we aren't letting anyone have him who doesn't promise to bring him back to visit now and then. I think he's going to go live with my sister's best friend and her little girl.
*** Linking to Greyahawk's latest Open Post, bumping date to keep this nearer the top of my blog. Originally posted 2006.01.22:01.53 I should have mentioned earlier that I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to deliver puppies. It sounds like I may be making a trip to New York for that purpose and I don't guess I'd consider anything east of the Rockies out of the question for the right price if I'm convinced the pup would recieve lots of love and attention. |

Shiranians are like a box of chocolates ...
You never know just what you're gonna get.
It's almost hard to believe those two are litter-mates, but they are. They've come a long way in 5 weeks. (Click here to see all of my Shiranian posts in one place.)
I got overruled on calling the little guy Jumbo. Now I'm working on convincing everyone he should be "Ross." He's little, but he makes up for it in attitude. Today he wandered into the kitchen looking for company, sniffed the cat-food bowl for a few seconds and waded right in.:
Except for Ross and the cat food this is the pups' first experience with solid food. It's also the first time I've been able to snap a shot showing how much size and color variation there is within the litter.
I realized earlier today that I'd never posted a picture of the pups' father. He does his best to ignore them and snarls to warn them off if they get too close. I'm betting on at least a couple of them being bigger than him eventually so he may have to change his attitude.

Shiranians at 28 days
Momma's a Shih Tzu, Daddy's a Pomeranian. Click here to see all of my Shiranian posts in one place. That's my 8 year old nephew's foot they're attacking. (Click "Continue reading ..." for more.) The huge black thing is Lucy. She's half Lab (we're pretty sure) and half (English Setter? Pointer? Dalmatian?). Some fool abandoned her and two siblings at the dump when they were barely weaning age.
There's at least a 2:1 size difference between Jumbo and his biggest litter-mate.
As fast as he's growing that may be his last ride in my pocket. He's the only one of the bunch that will fit there now. I shot some videos of the pups harassing my nephew and each other but the lighting was lousy and I'm not going to post any of them. |

Shiranians at 15 days

I also probably would have gotten a lot more done if I hadn't taken a puppy break. We took the pups out of their box for a few minutes to see what they thought of the rest of the world. As you can see, they found the whole experience really exciting.
