Another day off to another rocky start. I woke up way before I was ready to when the pedestal fan I keep blowing toward my bed at night quit due to a power outage. It wasn't a "You didn't pay us so we cut you off" situation like I first assumed -- we're still a few days from that -- but that didn't keep the house from heating up in a hurry. I haven't heard an explanation for the outage yet but it sounds like it affected enough people that the local paper and radio station will probably be talking about it later.

• Mahamu Kanneh rearrested after escape attempt
  Michelle Malkin: Mahamu Kanneh, the accused Liberian immigrant child molester whose trial was dropped after a judge claimed a translator could not be found, has been rearrested. Kanneh, who resided in Gaithersburg, Md., was apprehended in Philadelphia. The police say he tried to escape out a back door of the home where he had apparently relocated. He had skipped out of a bond hearing. An extradition hearing is pending. WaPo reports on the latest developments in this continuing outrage: ...
